Alcohol in the mall

Booze is proving to be a big hit with India’s mall shoppers. The Indian government’s recent decision to allow liquor sales in malls in four cities — Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam and Guntur — has proven profitable. These malls are selling as much as $4,000 per day in alcohol. The program will expand to 50 more malls next quarter.
