President & Chief Executive Officer
Tom was appointed ICSC President and CEO in September 2015. As the voice of the Marketplaces Industry, Tom is the leading expert on the marketplaces and spaces where people shop, dine, work, play and gather as foundational and vital ingredients of communities and economies. The majority of the nearly $6 trillion of U.S. consumer activity generated in 2022 by the retail, food-and-beverage, entertainment and consumer service industries occurs within America’s marketplaces, representing approximately 1 out of 4 American jobs. Prior to joining ICSC, Tom served as Vice Chairman of Deloitte, LLP, the largest professional services firm in the United States.
Chief Operating Officer
Valerie Richardson, CRX, CLS, has over 35 years of experience in retail real estate, working for brands such as Trammell Crow Company, Ann Taylor, Barnes & Noble and most recently, The Container Store, where she has led the real estate team for 19 years. An active industry participant and advocate, Ms. Richardson was elected Chairman of ICSC for the 2018-2019 term, after having served on the Board of Trustees since 2004. She was the first ICSC Chairman to come to the post from an active retail company.
CIO & Senior Vice President, Business Transformation
As the CIO, Bonnie oversees Technology and Business Transformation efforts at ICSC. She is responsible for defining and implementing technology and business strategies to ensure that internal teams, processes and systems are aligned to deliver on ICSC’s goals. Prior to joining ICSC, Bonnie spent over a decade at Barclays in the Investment Banking Division where she led several major transformation implementations in her role as Head of Business Planning & Technology.
General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Talent Engagement & Office Relations
Joining ICSC in 2020, Lesley Campbell oversees the Legal, Talent & Human Resources and Office Services teams. Lesley holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law and maintains over 16 years of experience in law and operations. Prior to joining ICSC, she served for several years as Associate General Counsel for Tiffany & Co. where she oversaw corporate and global real estate matters for the luxury retailer.
Chief Financial Officer
Sean is the Chief Financial Officer of ICSC, where he is responsible for finance and accounting. Sean brings over 25 years of experience to ICSC, having been the CFO at multiple middle-market companies and a 12-year career at Thomson Reuters. He received his MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, his CPA from New Jersey, and he graduated from Lafayette College with a double major in Economics & Business and English.
Executive Vice President, Global & Corporate Development
Malachy Kavanagh joined ICSC in 1996 and served in several key roles at the organization before being appointed EVP of Global & Corporate Development in 2018. He provides leadership for ICSC’s global offices, overseeing global initiatives & strategic relationships in addition to the organization’s international portfolio of events.
Executive Vice President, Public Policy
Betsy Laird manages all government relation operations for ICSC’s North American membership network and acts as liaison to the Board of Trustees on all public policy matters. The Public Policy team is based in Washington, DC. Betsy holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University, a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and is a member of the Florida Bar. She is experienced in all aspects of government relations and public policy at the federal and state levels.
Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer
In her role as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at ICSC, Rae Logsdon oversees the Communications, Marketing, Publishing, and Research teams. Prior to joining ICSC in January 2016, Rae served in executive leadership roles in marketing, executive communications and public relations. She brings over 20 years of experience to her role at ICSC, including a 10-year career at Deloitte.
Senior Vice President, Volunteer Engagement & President, ICSC Foundation
Joining ICSC in 2017, Lauri leads the ICSC Foundation, which focuses on building the industry’s next generation of talent. She also oversees volunteer leadership and engagement at ICSC. Lauri brings more than 30 years of experience to ICSC, having served as the CEO of several high-performing non-profit organizations and Assistant General Counsel at Barclays Bank.
Senor Vice President, Strategy & Chief of Staff
Chief of Staff Dana Sherman provides leadership and strategy for ICSC’s staff initiatives. Dana brings over 13 years of strategic planning and program development experience from the financial services, technology and healthcare industries. Prior to ICSC, Dana served as Director, Strategic Planning at American Express, responsible for annual planning of the program portfolio spanning 12 global teams.
