Retail Real Estate Institute Certificate Program for Students

ICSC and the ICSC Foundation are pleased to offer our student members this Online Retail Real Estate Institute Certificate Program designed to advance knowledge and understanding of the industry.

This certificate program, a value of $550, is complimentary for ICSC student members.

Program Overview

This three-part, self-directed program focuses on developing a retail real estate project, from opening and managing the property to creating a strategic plan for continued success. Participants can complete the principal coursework and earn the certification in approximately 5 hours.  

Each course includes interviews with industry experts to help improve your understanding of the essentials of each topic. The learning library of 8 optional online courses provides more in-depth coverage of the industry.

Program Objectives

Upon course completion, participants will be able to

  • Identify the key stakeholders in retail real estate and understand their varied needs and motivations
  • Understand how various roles in retail real estate work together to achieve success
  • Understand the processes that contribute to the success of a retail real estate project
  • Understand how to work productively with cross-departmental teams to achieve their company’s goals
  • Identify a path for career advancement that fits one’s strengths and interests

  • Utilize appropriate tools and resources to successfully run a retail real estate project
