As ICSC wrote in an email to members on Thursday: “We are deeply saddened by the devastating attack on the people of Israel. We condemn these horrific acts and all forms of hate, violence and terrorism. We mourn the loss of lives and pray for those who are missing. We stand with all people impacted by this unspeakable tragedy.”
For those who wish to donate, here are a few of the many options available:
AJC’s website says: “In light of this tragedy, and in anticipation of the tough days and weeks ahead, American Jewish Committee launched this Israel Emergency Campaign to support Israeli relief organizations. One hundred percent of donations received will be distributed to frontline Israeli NGOs, including hospitals and trauma centers. AJC will ensure that every dollar given will help our Israeli family at this terrifying time.”
The Jewish National Fund USA describes its Israel Resilience Campaign: “Jewish National Fund-USA stands with Israel amid the most recent and unprecedented attacks against countless civilians. Please donate now to support: evacuation from hardest hit communities on the border including transportation and emergency housing; provide hygiene, bedding, and care packages to those in need; provide firefighting and protective equipment to those on the front lines; offer psychological treatment; [and] give the local communities the promise of rebuilding for tomorrow.
According to American Friends of Magen David Adom’s website: “Your donation ensures Magen David Adom’s 33,000 paramedics, EMTs, first responders, and first-aid providers — volunteers and staff — have the training, equipment, and medical supplies they need to treat all injured and ill people in Israel.” In light of the recent attacks, the organization also has launched an Ambulance Emergency Campaign to provide Magen David Adom an additional 300 ambulances this year, three times what American Friends of Magen David Adom typically supplies.
