Armoire
The Seattle-based women’s apparel rental service opened a 1,000 square-foot store at Carillon Point. It serves as a complement to the brand’s online experience. GeekWire

AURate
The New York City based, direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand will open its first two permanent stores in New York City. InStore

Domino’s Pizza
Domino's is expanding its store footprint to get closer to customers, in an attempt to shrink delivery times and save costs and compete with third-party delivery services such as UberEats. The chain aims to incentivize more customers to use its carryout service, which is more profitable than delivery and a growing percentage of overall revenue. Five Below
The trendy chain is partnering with Nerd Street Gamers, a Philadelphia-based developer of training and competition facilities for esports to open esports competition venues within some of its existing stores. Five Below CEO Joel Anderson said 100 of Five Below’s 750 stores can accommodate the 3,000-square-foot centers, which will feature 30 to 50 personal computers for video gaming. The average Five Below store includes 8,500 square feet. The Philadelphia Inquirer

Food Lion
The Salisbury, N.C.-based supermarket chain said click-and-collect ordering will become available at 50 additional stores in Delaware, the Carolinas, Virginia and West Virginia, bringing the service to a total of 200 stores. Supermarket News

Kmart
A holding company that bought 425 stores out of bankruptcy from Sears Holdings plans to close about 100 of those stores by year’s end, according to reports. Wall Street Journal

LBrands
The retailer’s head of stores April Holt, who is responsible for real estate operations, is leaving the company. Until LBrands names a replacement, Becky Kritek-Behringer, who serves as the company’s senior vice president of store operations, will take on some of Holt’s duties. Adweek

Levi Strauss
The San Francisco-based denim brand remains committed to opening 100 new stores this year. NASDAQ

Ross Stores
The discount chain opened 42 stores in the past two months, bringing its 2019 total to 98. Of the most recent openings, 12 were dd's Discounts stores and 30 were Ross Dress for Less stores. Retail Dive
