In the pipeline: Who’s building what, where

Charlotte, N.C.
Construction is to begin soon on southwest Charlotte’s District on Tryon, which will comprise about 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. A 350-room hotel is a possibility too. The Charlotte Observer

Dallas
Stream Realty Partners intends to renovate the Quadrangle retail and office center, which it bought last year, and to add more retail space and a 12-story office building. Stream Realty says the project is to be renamed The Quad. The Dallas Morning News

Walton County, Fla.
The St. Joe Co. is proposing an outdoor lifestyle town center here to be called the Watersound Origins. A 48,000-square-foot Publix (which will include a deli, a bakery, a pharmacy and a liquor store) is to anchor the 250,000-square-foot center. Moreover, there will be additional shopping, dining and office space, a covered pavilion for public events, and green space. WJHG 7

Waukesha, Wis.
The Fox Run Shopping Center is being redeveloped with plans for five developable lots that are to include a financial institution, a micro-hospital, some residential units and a stormwater management facility. GMToday.com

Richmond, Va.
Publix will anchor Regency Centers’ Carytown Exchange, which is to replace the Richmond Shopping Center. This $40 million project is to house a CVS and a Virginia ABC liquor store. Richmond BizSense

Hillsborough, N.C.
Criterion Development is planning a 224,000-square-foot redevelopment of the Daniel Boone Village. The 16 proposed four-story buildings will have apartments or condominiums on their upper floors. The ground-floor commercial space will be triple the amount the previous center had. The News & Observer

Glenview, Ill.
GW Properties has plans for a 62,500-square-foot, four-building shopping center to be called Willows Crossing. The project, scheduled for a spring 2021 opening, will offer a First Watch café, a Mission BBQ and a roughly 35,000-square-foot grocery store. Connect Chicago

Jacksonville, Fla.
Morocco Temple Association is transforming the nearly 37-acre Morocco Shrine Auditorium property. As many as 1,000 multifamily units will surround a 100,000-square-foot temple building, which is to encompass some 40,000 square feet for educational use; about 30,000 square feet for retail, food and grocery; some 15,000 square feet for fitness uses; 10,000 square feet of common area; and 5,000 square feet for a movie theater. Panama City, Fla.
Burlington is the latest tenant to sign on at the Bay City Point shopping center. This is part of a $310 million, 50-store expansion Burlington is undertaking. The City Commission has also approved R.H. Ledbetter Properties’ plans for Five Below, Hobby Lobby, Skechers, Ulta Beauty and Xfinity. The Walton Sun
