Alex Muravsky has joined Urstadt Biddle Properties as assistant vice president of acquisitions. He will assist in asset management and will source, analyze and perform due diligence for prospective acquisitions and dispositions. He has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, most recently at Marcus & Millichap Institutional Property Advisors. He’s also worked as director of acquisitions at Kimco Realty.

JLL promoted Brian Yano from vice president and group manager for Maui to vice president and regional manager for retail open-air across Hawaii. Before joining JLL, Yano worked for Alexander & Baldwin, Hawaii Health Systems Corp., CBRE, Trammell Crow Co., Colliers and Harvard University.

Brand Real Estate Services senior managing director Rebecca Waters, who has 40 years of leasing experience, opened a Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, office on Feb. 1. Brand also has hired Brian Smith, previously executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Poag Shopping Centers, as executive vice president to lead retail and office leasing and oversee third-party development. He’s based in the Duluth, Georgia, headquarters.

Nadel’s Anthony Sanchez

Nadel has promoted design director Anthony Sanchez to principal and shareholder. “His extensive background in designing and executing large-scale experiential shopping destinations gives him the strong foundation needed to undertake today’s various urban infill retail and mixed-use projects,” said chairman and principal Greg Lyon. Sanchez interned for Nadel in 2001 and has worked for AO, Wet and KTGY, as well as Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, leading the exterior design for Westfield Century City, among other projects. He rejoined Nadel in 2020 and will include business development among his responsibilities.

CBRE’s Kristi Rankin

CBRE has promoted Kristi Rankin from associate managing director to managing director, overseeing CBRE’s Chicago property management business.

Mike Grannis, Ralph Cimmaursti and Spencer Johnson have launched Westpac Partners to advise on property ownership and tenant expansion. The trio previously worked together at Highland Properties.

Imaginuity’s Angela Sweeney

Angela Sweeney has joined marketing agency Imaginuity as executive director of Pylot. The marketing technology platform is an evolution from Imaginuity Centers and helps businesses that have multiple locations manage their digital presences through marketing automation, analytics, customer relationship management APIs and internet search visibility. It’s used by JLL and Property Management Inc. Angela was chief marketing officer at Peterson Cos., for which she’d worked for almost 11 years. She also has worked for Madison Marquette, The Mills Corp., The Rouse Co. and Urban Retail Properties.

Pine Tree’s Jennifer Costa, Brian Page, Nick Kohlman and Stan McElroy

Pine Tree has expanded Jennifer Costa’s role from executive vice president and director of property management to executive vice president of property operations. The company also promoted Brian Page from asset manager to vice president of asset management and Nick Kohlmann from portfolio manager to vice president of portfolio management. Additionally, Pine Tree hired Stan McElroy as vice president of acquisitions and business development to cover the western U.S. Previously, he was president of Big Shopping Centers USA, and he was worked for CBRE in Los Angeles.

Simon has hired Natalie Turpan as executive vice president of leasing. She previously worked on the retailer side, most recently as senior vice president of real estate, leasing, design and construction, and procurement for PVH and before that as vice president of real estate and leasing services for Aeropostale.

Cullinan Properties’ Stephanie Webster

Cullinan Properties has promoted Stephanie Webster to vice president and director of development to oversee development and tenant coordination across the medical, commercial office, retail and multifamily sectors. She joined the company in 2003 and has more than two decades of construction, administration and project management experience. She is the town architect for the Streets of St. Charles mixed-use development near St. Louis and sits on the Streets of St. Charles Community Improvement District board and on the Community Workshop & Training Center board.

CenterCal Properties’ Paul Kurzawa

Paul Kurzawa has joined CenterCal Properties as COO and to launch a third-party division to help owners and investors revitalize their shopping centers. He has more than 27 years of experience in commercial real estate and entertainment, including Blackstone/Equity Office, DreamWorks Animation, Caruso and, most recently, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield as executive vice president and director of operations. He was involved in the development of Westfield Century City, Westfield Valley Fair, The Americana at Brand and other marketplaces, as well as the redevelopment and repositioning of Chicago’s Willis Tower.

Bayer Properties’ Jane Walker

Bayer Properties promoted Jane Walker from director of marketing to the newly created position of vice president of business development. She joined the company in 2013 as corporate marketing manager and became director of marketing in 2017. She was instrumental in the development, branding and consumer marketing for projects like The Pizitz, according to Bayer vice president of marketing Bethanne Jenkins, who added: “Jane consistently brings creative, out-of-the-box solutions to the table.”

Divaris Real Estate’s Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson has joined Divaris Real Estate as senior vice president to lead expansion into Raleigh, North Carolina, as the new office's principal managing broker. She also will continue to serve Roanoke, Virginia, as she has done throughout her career.

Lewis Retail Centers’ Ken Caron

Lewis Retail Centers promoted Ken Caron from vice president of retail leasing to senior vice president of commercial development. He has worked for the company for more than 20 years, following a position at The Carrington Co.

Matthew Beverly has joined Cullinan Properties as CEO, succeeding Christopher West, who will become a senior advisor and remain a partner. Beverly has worked for RPAI since 2014, most recently as East Division president, overseeing 8 million square feet of mixed-use, as well as ongoing development of $450 million and a pipeline of $600 million. Before RPAI, he joined GGP in 2002 to lead international investment activity and asset management.

JLL Capital Markets’ Matt Hazelton and Cory Villaume

Matt Hazelton and Cory Villaume have left CBRE to join JLL Capital Markets as senior directors in multitenant and net lease retail investment sales and advisory in Minneapolis-St. Paul and the Midwest.

He will continue to lead asset management; environmental, social and corporate governance; and the RioCan Living residential portfolio. He also will take on property operations and leasing. “John has an established reputation as a strategic thinker and a champion for our people and the communities in which we operate,” said president and CEO Jonathan Gitlin.

Kevin Pelio has joined New Jersey investment, leasing and management firm The Azarian Group as director of leasing, effective Nov. 1. He began his career at Azarian in 2009, then worked for Simon for eight years and then for a few months as senior acquisitions and real estate manager for Lidl.

CrossMarc Services’ John Crossman and Duckworth Realty’s John Michael Holtmann

John Crossman and John Michael Holtmann established The Holtmann Crossman Endowed Fund, the first-ever real estate scholarship at Mississippi’s Jackson State University, a historically Black university. Qualifying students can apply for funds from the $25,000 endowed scholarship to help cover tuition, fees, books, supplies and other expenses. Holtmann is a principal in Holtmann Properties, partner in Concord Capital and vice president and principal in Duckworth Realty. Crossman is president of CrossMarc Services and CEO of Crossman Career Builders, which he founded last year to provide opportunities for minorities in the marketplaces industry. “Working in commercial real estate can help a person develop skills to buy property, which can build personal wealth, but a real estate education has been traditionally hard to access for minorities who haven’t been given opportunities to own property,” Crossman said.

Mike Nevins has joined Spinoso as executive vice president of leasing. “I have known Mike for 30 years and have the highest respect for his successful career, knowledge, ability, relationships and passion,” said chairman and CEO Carmen Spinoso. Nevins has more than 30 years of experience in retail real estate, most recently as COO of malls for Simon and executive vice president of leasing for the company. Previously, he worked for Luxottica, Macerich, Wilmorite Inc., Tanger Outlets, Pyramid Management Group and IBM.

Hart Realty Advisers, a subsidiary of TSCG, promoted Josh Kagan from chief investment officer to co-CEO, working alongside co-CEO Sam Latone. He will direct investment activities, strategy and the management and investment committees.

Katz & Associates’ Russel Helbling

Russel Helbling has joined Katz & Associates as managing director in the New York City office, focusing on tenant and landlord representation in Long Island and the surrounding New York metropolitan region. He joins from Sabre Advisors.

Southeast Centers’ Steve Miskew

Southeast Centers appointed Steve Miskew CEO and principal, a role formerly held by co-founder and president Marc Boucher, who remains as chairman and principal. Miskew joined the company in 2016, coming from SRS Real Estate Partners.

JLL’s Regan Amato

Regan Amato has joined JLL as senior vice president in its Phoenix office, coming from Cushman & Wakefield. With 16 years of experience, he has led the regional rollouts of credit-level users and represented prominent local retail centers.

TSCG’s Luke Jones

Luke Jones has joined TSCG as associate broker in the Tampa, Florida, office. “Luke’s energy and positive spirit, coupled with his successful background in the retail real estate industry, create the perfect storm for success at TSCG,” said CEO David Birnbrey. Jones also has owned and developed indoor entertainment venues in the Southeast and Caribbean, spearheading site selection and negotiations in the process.
