ICSC Launches 65 for 65 Campaign to Boost PAC Giving

August 5, 2022

The ICSC PAC is launching its “65 for 65” campaign this month to educate more members about the importance of donating to the organization’s political action committee.

The effort celebrates ICSC’s 65th Anniversary by asking members to contribute $65 dollars to the ICSC PAC within 65 days of the campaign’s August 8 launch.

“It’s important to remind our members that the ICSC PAC is the only federally registered political action committee representing the marketplaces industry,” said Alyssa Clevenger, ICSC director of political affairs and grassroots. “The ICSC PAC is funded by personal, voluntary contributions from our members. The PAC uses these combined resources to educate and support candidates, allowing the whole industry to play a larger role in the political process than ICSC members could acting alone.”

The ICSC PAC supports lawmakers who believe in ICSC’s legislative priorities regardless of political affiliation.

“Every day, critical decisions are being made in Washington that affect our daily lives, businesses, and communities,” ICSC PAC Chairman Marty Mayer said. “The ICSC PAC keeps us relevant and abreast of these decisions by representing our industry through political engagement with lawmakers.”
