Harrys of London sets up shop in the states

June 7, 2018

British men's-footwear brand Harrys of London has opened its first American flagship store, in New York City.

This is the brand's first new store to open since its London store, in 2008. And the 775-square-foot store is possibly the first of others to come, as Harrys of London looks toward global expansion in the wake of its sale to commercial real estate developer Charles S. Cohen, in May 2017.

The store will occupy part of the base of Cohen's Ritz Tower building, at Park Avenue and 57th Street.

This new store is designed by New York City–based Christian Lahoude Studio. The wooden moldings, the engraved mirror panels and the walls' tone-on-tone paneling hint at traditional British architectural elements, translated into a modern design.
