Government Relations & Public Policy

Support ICSC PAC

October 12, 2023

ICSC’s Government Relations & Public Policy team works tirelessly in Washington, D.C., to protect our members against bad public policy decisions and elevate ICSC’s political profile to federal lawmakers. ICSC PAC plays an essential role in supporting these goals and paves the way for further engagement with political leaders.

This year, two major policy priorities are being pursued by ICSC:

  • Passage and enactment of the "Combating Organized Retail Crime Act of 2023" (S. 140/H.R. 895).
  • Preserving longstanding tax provisions, such as but not limited to, changes in capital gains rates, protecting like-kind exchanges and prohibiting tax increases on carried interest/“the promote” — that many ICSC members rely on.

As we embark on the 2024 election year, ICSC PAC needs your help. It is imperative that we build our political capital to continue supporting ICSC’s legislative champions and educating new candidates on our role in building communities.
