Small Businesses Are Being Forced to Pass On Higher Costs to Customers

Inflation caught up with McJak Candy of Medina, Ohio, which raised its 2022 prices about 12% across the board. Small businesses nationwide reluctantly have passed rising labor, production and materials costs on to customers as pricing pinches squeeze bottom lines. Seventy-one percent of small business owners said inflation had affected their operations within the past 12 months, according to the latest Small Business Index report.
