Ross on track to open 100 stores this year

July 23, 2018

Ross Stores opened 22 Ross Dress for Less and eight DD's Discounts stores across 12 states and in Washington, D.C., last month and through July thus far. This is part of the Dublin, Calif.–based company's plan to open roughly 100 stores across the two brands this year — about three Ross Dress for Less stores to each DD's Discounts store.

"With this opening group, we continued to expand Ross and DD's in both new and existing markets," said James Fassio, the company's president and chief development officer, in a press release. "Ross grew in its newer market — the Midwest — as well as existing markets, including California, Texas and Florida. In June DD's also expanded into its newest state, of Delaware. Looking ahead we remain confident in our expansion plans and continue to see plenty of opportunity to grow across all of our markets."

Ross Stores currently operates 1,680 off-price apparel and home fashion stores across 38 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
