Mall landlord and property manager Sonae Sierra is giving tenants at its 13 Portuguese properties free access to its e-commerce platform through May.
The owner of 27 shopping centers in Europe and South America is considering rolling out the program to additional countries.
Sonae Sierra’s Online Shopping Centre will provide tenants that don’t have robust e-commerce operations with a sales channel to minimize COVID-19’s impact on sales, says Cristina Santos, managing director of property management. “At the same time, we want to ensure that consumers will have access to goods that they would normally find at our shopping centers.”
Sonae Sierra and local e-commerce operator Dott developed the platform, which is available on each property’s website.
