Wilson, N.C.
Woodhaven Development Group has started construction on Heritage Corner, a 23-acre project with 170,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and residential. The Wake Weekly

Chesterfield, Mo.
The Staenberg Group has purchased Chesterfield Mall and plans to redevelop it as Downtown Chesterfield, a planned mixed-use development with restaurants, a theater, a supermarket, a fitness center and residential and office space. St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Miami
Developer Michael Swerdlow plans a $350 million retail and apartment complex in the Overtown neighborhood. Retailers will include Target, Starbuck and CVS. Miami Herald

Washington, D.C.
Shops at Penn Branch is adding The Highlands, a 1,900-square-foot, locally owned café and restaurant. Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners said nonprofit KBEC Group also has signed a lease for space. Bisnow

Dallas
The Central, a $2.5 billion mixed-use project, will include 5 million square feet of retail, residential, food-and-beverage and entertainment. The first phase of the JPI project includes a 17-story office building, a high-rise apartment and a full-service hotel. Dallas News

Boise, developer Galena Opportunity Fund proposes a six-acre mixed-use project called Meridian Station. BoiseDev

Woodmen, Colo.
Nor’wood Development Group has proposed Banning Lewis Ranch North, an 800-acre residential/commercial project. Plans call for as many as 2,900 homes and apartments and 37 acres of commercial development, including retail, office and industrial applications. The Gazette

Concord, N.H.
Brixmor Capital has applied for additions to the Capitol Shopping Center, including a sit-down restaurant and a Starbucks drive-thru. Market Basket and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission are already tenants. Concord Monitor

San Antonio
EVO Entertainment Group is ready to start construction on an 80,000-square-foot entertainment complex that will include giant movie screens, dine-in auditoriums and luxury seating. The plan also includes a restaurant, bowling and a ropes course. San Antonio Express-News

A Meijer super center will anchor the planned Pumpkin Patch Commercial Shopping District. The development also will include a gas station and convenience store. Sun Prairie Star
