Pike Road, Ala.
Developer Charlie Trotman is heading up a new, 74,000-square-foot shopping center project near Town Hall, featuring a Publix and some service-oriented businesses. Montgomery Advertiser

Malibu, Calif.
The Malibu (Calif.) City Planning Commission has approved modifications to the plan for La Paz Ranch, Pacific Equity Properties’ long-planned, 132,100-square-foot retail, restaurant and office project. The Malibu Times

Madison, Wis.
JSD Professional Services has proposed Madison Yards, which would comprise a Whole Foods; an eight-story, 150-key hotel; a mixed-use apartment building; and some green space. The firm plans to break ground this summer for delivery in early 2022. The Cap Times

Grand Prairie, Texas
A 55,000-square-foot Kohl’s will join Epic East Towne Crossing in this Dallas–Fort Worth suburb. The development already includes an IKEA, an indoor water park and some municipal buildings. The Dallas Morning News

Newtown Township, Pa.
Developer Newtown/Bucks Associates intends to expand the Newtown Shopping Center. A new, 12,500-square-foot building will house an Old Navy, which joins the center’s current lineup of Acme, Bed Bath & Beyond and Staples. Bucks Local News

Portland, Texas
McLeod Sears aims to replace a closed, nearly 83,000-square-foot Kmart with some shops and restaurants. The firm is expecting to deliver the project by 2021. Connect Media

Stephenville, Texas
STX Washington Partners has plans for a $23 million, 150,000-square-foot project called Washington Commons on a 17-acre space next to a Walmart. The developer announced that Ulta Beauty and Hobby Lobby will open there next year. Stephenville Empire-Tribune

Ohio County, W.Va.
GC&P Development has proposed a 700,000-square-foot development with retail, office space and homes for this Wheeling, W.Va., suburb. WTOV 9

Raleigh, N.C.
Merge Capital has proposed a 67,000-square-foot development with retail, restaurant and office space in Raleigh’s South Park neighborhood. The project will also contain communal space and a 485-space parking lot. The News & Observer

Richmond, Texas
CJ Development released plans for Grand Center at Long Meadow Farms, a 48-acre project with 46,000 square feet of retail across a two-story building. Richmond is about 30 miles southwest of Houston. Bisnow
