Chico, Calif.
The Chico Mall food court is to be redeveloped as a Planet Fitness gym, and H&M has plans to open a 15,000-square-foot store at the mall in the spring. KRCR

Jacksonville, Fla.
The Ferber Co. is developing the $1.8 million Brooklyn Place shopping center. Bento Asian Kitchen, Chipotle and Panera Bread have signed on as tenants. The project is scheduled to open by next summer. Jacksonville Daily Record

Deer Park, Ill.
A developer wants to build nearly 60 town houses next to Deer Park Town Center. Daily Herald

Fenton, Mich.
Carters intends to open a store at the multitenant retail center that K2 Construction is building on the site of a former Kmart in Silver Lake Village. Tri-County Times

Charleston, S.C.
The owners of half of Citadel Mall want to redevelop the parking areas into a mix of uses: hotels, offices, and residential and commercial space, including a grocery store. HBO is leasing the former Sears for production of a new TV show. The Post and Courier

Mandeville, La.
D&H Investment Properties will convert a 93,000-square-foot former Kmart store into The Shoppes at Emerald Corner. Part of the space will be an L-shaped, 48,000-square-foot retail center with about a dozen shops. Nola.com

Plymouth, Minn.
Developer Dominium plans to redevelop the 17-acre Four Seasons Mall site into three affordable-housing buildings (one of them for seniors) plus new retail and parking. Senior Housing News

St. Louis
Walpert Properties is ready to break ground next year on a $300 million planned redevelopment of the former Crestwood Mall as a mixed-use center. KWMU

Portland, Ore.
Developers plan to convert 10 acres of former industrial property along the city’s waterfront into new uses. Plans call for 638 units of housing, 132 hotel rooms, nearly 60,000 square feet of retail space, a new marina and nearly 124,000 square feet of office space. Press Herald
