ICSC PAC to kick-start fundraising activity

October 14, 2021

As we head into a new year and the midterm elections, it’s time to ramp up fundraising and rebuild the ICSC Political Action Committee (PAC). The ICSC PAC is the only PAC solely representing the retail real estate industry, and with over 4,000 PACs registered with the Federal Election Commission—4,000+ groups with different angles and positions—it is imperative that the ICSC has the political capital to have a seat at the table to compete with those interests.

In many ways, PACs are the most transparent way of giving in the political process. PACs are not ideological; they were created with the intent to pool small donations from employees (company PAC) or association members (association PAC) and contribute to candidates who support the key issues of an organization. Similarly, the ICSC PAC is largely funded by voluntary personal contributions from ICSC's valued members; serving as one of the most critical tools we have to engage with elected officials at the federal level.

The ICSC Global Public Policy team is working hard every day to advocate for your businesses and bottom lines. We need your help to stay in front of our elected leaders as a united voice and deliver the policy messages for our industry. To support ICSC PAC today, personal contributions can be made here.

For more information on how to get involved, please contact Alyssa Clevenger, ICSC Political Affairs Director, at aclevenger@icsc.com.
