ICSC PAC looks to the future

January 9, 2020

In early 2019 the ICSC Committee on PAC Management voted to invite ICSC members beyond the pool of former and current trustees and chairmen to serve on its board in an effort to expand its donor base for long-term growth and better representation of the ICSC membership base.

ICSC PAC Chairman Marty Mayer and Executive Director Susan Askew developed an extensive list of accomplished ICSC members throughout the country and vetted candidates based on prior support for the PAC and ICSC's advocacy efforts, as well as volunteer leadership roles.

At RECon 2019, the new “ICSC PAC Board 2.0” was launched with 14 new ICSC PAC Board members joining eight original ICSC PAC Board members from the Trustee community:

“This marks a new turning point for ICSC PAC. Since adding the new board members to the PAC board, I have been incredibly impressed with their creativity, energy and commitment to expanding ICSC PAC support to a new generation of ICSC members,” Mayer said.

This new initiative will make it possible for ICSC PAC to host more events at ICSC’s specialty and larger deal making conferences. New PAC board members Gordon Keig and Dean Pritchard organized the first-ever ICSC PAC event at the CenterBuild Conference in Phoenix in December. Just one week later, ICSC PAC held its annual holiday cocktail reception at Le Bernardin during New York Deal Making.

ICSC PAC has a full schedule of events for contributors in 2020, offering distinct networking events at ICSC meetings that provide opportunities to make your next deal and help protect your bottom line from harmful decisions made in Washington, DC.

During this important election year, ICSC PAC will be highlighting donors to give ICSC members the opportunity to tell you directly why they support ICSC PAC.

For more information about how to get involved, please contact ICSC PAC's Executive Director Susan Askew (SAskew@icsc.com).
