ICSC PAC hosts special access Capitol tour for donors

June 26, 2019

On June 18 Congressman Trey Hollingsworth (R-IN) hosted a tour of the U.S. Capitol for some of ICSC PAC’s most generous supporters during the 2019 Strategic Leadership Summit. ICSC members visited the Crypt, Rotunda, National Statuary Hall and the Speaker’s Balcony.

In addition, ICSC members also had the unique opportunity to meet with House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) in his conference room near the floor of the House of Representatives.

“We were able to spend time in the Chairman of Ways and Means committee’s conference room, walk the halls while members of the House were eagerly voting, learn the history of the rotunda from Congressional Staff, and a finale on the Speaker’s Balcony with Congressman Hollingsworth,” Morgan Konstantinidis said. “The time we spent there with colleagues afforded us the ability to see Washington, DC like few are able to do. It was most definitely an experience I won’t soon forget!”

The private tour of the U.S. Capitol is part of the full schedule of events offered to ICSC PAC donors.

ICSC PAC pools voluntary contributions from ICSC members to support the reelection campaigns of Representatives and Senators who advance the interests of the retail real estate industry on Capitol Hill. ICSC PAC utilizes its resources to foster relationships with Members of Congress, providing ICSC with an opportunity to influence policies that will impact your bottom line.

“We all should be well aware that what happens in Washington, DC can have long-term consequences – both good and bad – for our industry and thus for your career,” ICSC PAC Chair Marty Mayer said. “It is critical that we have a voice at the table representing our interests. Our ICSC PAC is YOUR voice. And we need the support of all ICSC members to strengthen that voice to protect the retail real estate industry.”
