ICSC PAC Election Results

November 18, 2022

This election cycle the ICSC PAC continued its mission of supporting legislators who understand the role the Marketplaces Industry plays in communities across the country. This cycle, the bipartisan ICSC PAC contributed to 120 campaigns, spending 51% on Democrats and 49% on Republicans. Of those campaigns, 105 members were on the ballot and 97 will be returning in 2023.

House Results
  • 88% of the dollars ICSC PAC invested in House races went to winning candidates.
  • 71 of the 81 candidates supported will return to Congress in 2023.
    • Eight candidates lost re-election: Rep. Cindy Axne (IA-3), Rep. Carolyn Bordeaux (GA-7), Rep. Rodney Davis (IL-7), Rep. Ted Deutch (FL-22), Rep. Al Lawson (FL-2), Rep. Carolyn Maloney (NY-12), Rep. Peter Meijer (MI-3) and Rep. Kurt Schrader (OR-5).
    • Two members retired: Rep. Kevin Brady (TX-8) and Rep. Van Taylor (TX-3).
Senate Results
  • 96% of the dollars ICSC PAC invested in Senate races went to winning candidates.
  • As of today, 14 of those candidates won re-election.
    • There was one uncalled race: Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AL) and one member retired: Sen. Rob Portman (OH).
Moving Forward

This year has been a rebuilding period for ICSC PAC and thanks to the support we received, the PAC has raised $183,000. To celebrate we invite our very generous max-out contributors ($5,000) to join us for an ICSC PAC reception on December 6th from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. at the Célon Lounge in The Bryant Park Hotel.

It’s never too late to support our efforts! Contributions can be made here.
