On September 25, ICSC hosted the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Week Retail Real Estate Reception at The Morrow Hotel in Washington, DC.
The event honored Maryland Governor Wes Moore and ICSC Trustee & CEO of The Chicago TREND Corporation Lyneir Richardson for their achievements.
The event also celebrated Project REAP and Morgan State University’s chapter of Diversity and Inclusion in Real Estate Institute for their efforts to empower students and professionals from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.
“We’re excited to host our second annual CBC Retail Real Estate Reception to honor trailblazers for their leadership and community impact and celebrate our strategic partnerships,” ICSC President & CEO Tom McGee said. “In doing so, we hope to inspire the next generation of talent to step forward to further strengthen our industry.”
More than 100 people attended the reception, including members of Congress and their staff, members of the ICSC Board of Trustees and ICSC Foundation Board.
Approximately $46,000 was raised by event sponsorships to support the ICSC Foundation’s mission. Sponsors included DLC Management, First Washington Realty, First American Title, Acadia, Primestor, Russell Glen Company, Steerpoint Capital, MCB Real Estate, Rappaport and The Home Depot.
