ICSC Foundation Honors Industry Leaders at its Celebration of Service During ICSC LAS VEGAS

May 19, 2026

The ICSC Foundation recognized five standout volunteers whose sustained commitment to education, mentorship and industry access continues to shape the next generation of Marketplaces Industry professionals. Honored during the ICSC Foundation Celebration of Service reception on May 18 at ICSC LAS VEGAS, the recipients exemplify the Foundation’s mission to expand opportunity and strengthen the retail real estate industry through service.

Chosen for the number of hours they dedicated to ICSC Foundation programs in 2025, this year’s honorees reflect consistent engagement, leadership and deep commitment to supporting students and early-career professionals.

The program also honored two longtime industry leaders whose leadership and service have played pivotal roles in advancing the ICSC Foundation’s work: PREIT executive chair Glenn Rufrano, who is a former chair of both ICSC and the ICSC Foundation, and Retail Property Solutions owner and principal Beverly Ricks, who is a former member of both the ICSC Board of Trustees and the ICSC Foundation Board of Directors. Both were honored for their lasting contributions, commitment to students, leadership excellence and ICSC Foundation stewardship.

Together, the honorees reflect a range of service that continues to strengthen the ICSC Foundation’s impact on ICSC Student Members and the industry at large.

Lane Chaplin

EVgo Head of Real Estate and Retail Portfolio Partnerships

Lane Chaplin has become a familiar and reliable presence across ICSC Foundation programming, frequently stepping forward as one of the earliest volunteers at conferences nationwide. A dedicated ICSC Foundation mentor, Chaplin regularly creates access points for students to engage directly with the industry, whether through shadowing experiences, speed networking or on-campus outreach.

His impact extends beyond scheduled events. Chaplin plays an active role in recruiting prospective ICSC Foundation volunteers and mentors and is known for providing mentees with meaningful opportunities to learn, connect and build confidence in their career paths. His consistent involvement reflects a long-term investment in talent development within the industry.

Evie Gross

Brixmor Vice President of National Accounts

As a former recipient of the ICSC Foundation Mary Lou Fiala Fellowship — a program now known as the ICSC Foundation Lisa Palmer Fellowship — and an ICSC 4 Under 40 honoree, Evie Gross brings a distinctive alum perspective to her Foundation service. She actively champions the fellowship program within her professional network, sharing firsthand insight into its influence on her career and encouraging future applicants to pursue the opportunity.

Gross’ support of the ICSC Foundation takes multiple forms, including mentorship, scholarship judging and conference-based engagement. She also connects philanthropy with community-building, even donating a portion of proceeds from the Retail Uncorked networking event she co-founded with Phillips Edison & Co.’s Ashley Casey to benefit the ICSC Foundation. Her service reflects a commitment to paying forward the impact of programs that have helped shape her own career.

Jillian Klein

DLC Senior Vice President of People

Jillian Klein approaches ICSC Foundation service with intentionality and foresight, often initiating conversations ahead of ICSC events to understand where support is most needed. Her contributions span professional development workshops, speaker roles and student-facing programming at ICSC LAS VEGAS and beyond.

Klein also regularly participates in virtual sessions with students related to ICSC Foundation initiatives like internships and career-readiness programming. Her proactive engagement and collaborative approach help ensure that the Foundation’s programs remain responsive, relevant and impactful.

Jennifer Skiba

Bedrock Vice President of Leasing

Jennifer Skiba’s service is defined by her hands-on dedication to student engagement. She played a key role in expanding ICSC Foundation outreach in Michigan, helping bring the Foundation’s and guest speakers’ campus visits to life through thoughtful planning and active participation that went well beyond the podium.

Skiba also leverages her network to broaden others’ involvement in the ICSC Foundation, notably by encouraging colleagues to serve as scholarship judges. Through mentorship, speaking engagements and hosting small groups of students at ICSC events, she continues to strengthen the bridge between education and industry for emerging talent.

Kien Tsoi

Dollar Tree Director of Real Estate

Kien Tsoi’s enthusiasm for ICSC Foundation service is matched by the breadth of his involvement. A regular volunteer at ICSC LAS VEGAS, Tsoi consistently commits his time to multiple programs during the event, bringing energy and approachability to every interaction.

As a mentor, speaker and judge of the ICSC & UNC Retail Real Estate Case Competition, Tsoi frequently extends his support beyond formal responsibilities, taking on additional mentees and remaining accessible to students seeking guidance outside scheduled sessions. His genuine excitement for volunteering underscores the culture of engagement the ICSC Foundation strives to foster.

Together, the 2026 ICSC Foundation Celebration of Service honorees represent the generosity, leadership and commitment that continue to propel the ICSC Foundation’s mission forward. Through mentorship, advocacy and hands-on participation, their service helps ensure the industry remains accessible, inclusive and prepared for the future.
