Celebration Pointe, in Gainesville, Florida, is to break ground on a second phase by sometime in the third quarter.
This expansion will add some 90,000 square feet of retail and office space plus 100 luxury apartments to the 160-acre development, which includes outlets among its retail offerings. The developers say they expect to open this phase by October 2021.
“The more-mixed-use-centric phase two is, in many ways, an extension of the food-and-entertainment-focused phase one — with the exception that this second phase will be multilevel,” said Ralph Conti, CRRP, CRX, CDP, principal of Atlanta-based RaCo Real Estate Advisors, a Celebration Pointe development partner. “We are also working directly with a significant user that will anchor this phase of the development. We expect to make an announcement in the very near future.”
Among Celebration Pointe’s new-to-the-market retailers are a Nike Factory Store and a Tommy Hilfiger outlet, both of which opened in April of 2018.
