Amazon has launched Supply Chain by Amazon to assist small businesses in managing supply chains, marketing and product development. The platform is designed to swiftly deliver products from sellers’ manufacturing partners to customers worldwide and to offer insights into consumer preferences. “Oftentimes, small business owners start their businesses because they want to build their brand,” Claire O'Donnell — director of Amazon’s Selling Partner Empowerment, Communities & Trust — told the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s publication CO. “They have a great story. They have a great idea for a product. What they don’t find as interesting and exciting are some of the complexities of running a business, whether that’s logistics or managing customer returns.” That’s what Supply Chain by Amazon aims to solve.
