Alyssa Clevenger has joined ICSC as the organization’s PAC/Grassroots director.
Clevenger was previously with the National Confectioners Association (NCA) and prior to that worked for the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). She also served as a staff assistant for Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and finance manager for the “Capito for Senate” campaign.
“I am excited to join the team at ICSC,” Clevenger said. “Throughout my career, I've always felt that PAC and Grassroots go hand in hand. Together they are critical to building a trusting relationship between the industry and elected officials and their effectiveness is propelled by the strength and engagement of our membership. I look forward to getting to know the ICSC members, learning more about their needs, and working with the great people and businesses that make up the Marketplaces Industry.”
Clevenger will report to Betsy Laird, ICSC PAC treasurer and senior vice-president of Global Public Policy, and will be based in ICSC’s Washington, DC office.
“We welcome Alyssa to the ICSC team,” Laird said. “Her experience, knowledge and Washington contacts will be very helpful as we rebuild the political affairs and grassroots operations for the organization.”
