More than a year ago, the future of Maple Mall north of St. Paul, Minnesota, was in question after its owner filed for bankruptcy. New owner Brookwood Capital Advisors looked to small businesses to help bring the mall back to life. In the past year, it has brought in almost 30 local businesses, many of which are minority led.
