Small Business Confidence Falls to 10-Year Low Amid Labor Shortages and Inflationary Pressures

Small business owners face significant economic pressures as labor quality and inflation issues persist. The latest NFIB data revealed that small business confidence has fallen to its lowest point in 10 years, marking the 16th consecutive month of historically low optimism. While there are some positive signs, such as an ease in credit tightening, the outlook remains less than stellar as small business owners struggle to find qualified workers and as they anticipate another possible rate hike.
