Simon’s 70th outlet center in the U.S. celebrated its ground-breaking last week.
The 340,000-square-foot Tulsa Premium Outlets, in Jenks, Okla., is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021. The center offers national brands across the fashion, accessories, footwear, athletics and fitness apparel, home decor and electronics categories. Stephen Yalof, CEO of Simon Premium Outlets, who attended the ground-breaking, says the location is advantageous: “The greater Tulsa community is witnessing a period of tremendous development as well as economic and population growth.”
Rather than a traditional food court, Tulsa Premium Outlets will offer quick-service dining options at two pad sites and throughout the center. The center will also have an outdoor play area for children.
Simon operates another Tulsa shopping center: the 1.1 million-square-foot Woodland Hills Mall, 8 miles away. “The Simon brand has a good legacy in the market, and people are excited to have another one,” Yalof said.
Simon and Macerich plan to open Los Angeles Premium Outlets in the fall of 2021.
