P.F. Chang’s first no-seating restaurant to open in less than three weeks

January 16, 2020

Restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s China Bistro will roll out its very first To Go units on Feb. 3, in Chicago.

These units have no seating, only a standup counter fronting a kitchen, and will offer exclusively carry-out, catering and delivery service. Consumers may order deliveries through the P.F. Chang’s app and website or through third-party delivery services such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Postmates and Uber Eats.

“People want good, quality food at their door, whether that’s their car door, house door or business door,” said Chris Demery, P.F. Chang’s senior vice president of off-premises dining, as reported in the Chicago Sun-Times.

The first of these restaurants will open next month in the city’s River North neighborhood. Two more Chicago units are to open later this year, and following those will be units in Houston, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

P.F. Chang’s operates 219 full-service restaurants.
