With a new year underway, several surveys and data releases paint a picture of the state of U.S. small businesses in the early part of 2023. One thing all the survey results point to: Small business owners are having difficulty finding employees to fill positions. While some small business owners express worry about the direction of the economy, a majority remain optimistic about their own prospects.
