Fallston, Md.
Fallston Village Center is getting a 51,000-square-foot expansion. The center, formerly called Fallston Mall, already has an Ace Hardware, a Harvest Fare supermarket, a Horizon cinema and a restaurant. The Baltimore Sun

Prince George’s County, Md.
Banneker Ventures is proposing plans for the mixed-use Park Place Addison Road Metro to the Prince George’s County Planning Board. The plans encompass 193 apartments and 11,000 square feet of retail near the Addison Road–Seat Pleasant Metro station. The developer says it hopes to bring in a service-oriented business such as a bank, a café or a dry cleaner. Bisnow

Tampa, Fla.
Construction has started on Marina Pointe, which is to comprise condominiums, a retail center and a 150-slip marina. The project is part of the master-planned Westshore Marina District. Marina Pointe’s retail segment, to be called Marina Landings, will include a wine bar and shop, a boutique grocery, and a coffee and juice bar. Patch

Tucson, Ariz.
Town West Realty is renovating the recently renamed Oro Valley Village Center (formerly Oro Valley Marketplace). The plans encompass a community gathering space, a walking path and some restaurants, as well as a sand beach. The remodel also offers about 500 apartments and two hotels. KOLD News13

Novi, Mich.
Construction could begin in late summer on Sakura Novi, a $50 million, Asia-themed mixed-use development featuring Japanese grocery store One World Market, several Asian-inspired restaurants and dozens of residential units. Developer Robert B. Aikens & Associates says the first phase is set to open in 2022. Hometown Life

Brookfield, Wis.
Mishkaat Investment has proposed plans to build an 11,800-square-foot retail building at the southeast corner of West Capitol Drive and North Calhoun Road and to remodel a vacant restaurant next door. The new building could accommodate as many as six tenants, as well as a patio or an outdoor social area. BizTimes.com

Chicago
In Chicago’s North Lawndale community, the Ogden Commons multiuse project is underway to replace public housing developments. The public-private partnership is also Chicago’s largest mixed-use project making use of federal opportunity zones. The first phase is a three-story building with some 50,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, occupied by such tenants as Ja’ Grill Hyde Park, Steak ’n Shake and Wintrust Bank. Austin, Texas
Accesso Partners has plans for some 1,800 apartments, a 340-room hotel and 80,000 square feet of retail to go up near an Apple campus that broke ground last year. The campus is set to open in three years, and expectations are that some 5,000 workers will be employed there initially, and about 15,000 ultimately. KVUE

Aiken, S.C.
The Aiken Planning Commission has approved developer Southeastern’s plans for turning the 30-year-old Aiken Mall into a lifestyle center that offers housing, retail and restaurants. WJBF.com

Norfolk, Va.
Marathon Development Group has proposed a housing, retail and parking garage complex to be called Gravity 400, for downtown on Waterside Drive. WAVY.com
