Troy, Ala.
Hutton broke ground on the 120,000-square-foot Trojan Marketplace. The center is scheduled to open in spring 2021. Five Below, Hobby Lobby, Rack Room Shoes and Ulta Beauty have signed on as tenants. Troymessenger.com

Miami
Triple Five Worldwide plans to start construction of American Dream Miami in late 2021 for a 2025 opening. The company expects to spend  between $4.5 billion to $5 billion to build 5 million square feet in unincorporated northwest Miami-Dade County. Tampa Bay Times

Boise, Idaho
Developers want to replace two retail buildings tenanted by Burlington and Big O Tires with a mixed-use center with 245 residential units and 11,000 square feet of retail. BoiseDev

Orlando
Disney announced Ben & Jerry’s, Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, Dunkin’, Five Guys, PDQ and Walgreens will join Flamingo Crossings Town Center, the Target-anchored mixed-use center the company is developing near Disney World for a 2021 grand opening. WDW News Today

Eatontown, N.J.
City officials approved a revised plan from Brookfield Properties and Kushner Cos. to add a winter garden atrium, additional restaurant pads and a four-level medical facility to Monmouth Mall. The revision reduces the retail footprint in the original plan by 3 percent. APP

Midlothian, Va.
Planning commissioners have approved plans to add 1,250 housing units on property surrounding the Stonebridge Shopping Center. To be called Starview Village, the center also will include commercial space. Richmond Times-Dispatch

New Orleans
Developers expect to break ground in mid-2020 on the $100 million transformation of the 50-year-old Clearview Mall into mixed-use Clearview City Center with the addition of a hotel, a 14,000-square-foot green space for outdoor events and concerts, more than 260 high-end apartments, restaurants with rooftop access, and about 100,000 square feet of office. The mall’s existing tenants include Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, AMC Theaters, Zea Rotisserie & Bar and Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux. Engineering News-Record

Hanover, Pa.
City planners approved PREP’s plan to redevelop Hanover Mall into an open-air mixed-use center with 300 residential units called Hanover Crossing. Market Basket and Showcase Cinemas already have signed on as tenants. The Patriot Ledger

Germantown, Tenn.
Developers plan to redevelop the former CarreFour at Kirby Woods mall into Carrefour at The Gateway, a mixed-use center that will include 20 apartment units, 20,000 square feet of public green space, 320,000 square feet of office, 100,000 square feet of retail, a 174-room hotel and 1,400 parking spaces.
