ICSC Federal Fly-In to Feature PAC Late-Night Happy Hour

February 8, 2024

ICSC PAC will host a Late-Night Happy Hour at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse on March 5 from 8:30 to 10:30 pm.

The gathering is a premier networking event, open only to those ICSC members contributing $125 or more to ICSC PAC and is part of the larger Federal Fly-In taking place March 4-6. Registration for the event closes next week.

The Fly-In will feature armchair discussions with members of Congress offering their insights into key legislation impacting the Marketplaces Industry, expert analysis of the 2024 elections, as well as high-level networking opportunities.

The Federal Fly-In dates back to 1989 and is open to all ICSC members, even those with no previous experience lobbying on ICSC issues.

“We have briefing sessions to ensure attendees feel completely comfortable talking with their elected officials, and we try to pair new attendees with Fly-In ‘veterans’ whenever possible,” said Betsy Laird, ICSC’s EVP of Government Relations & Public Policy. “Visiting congressional offices and talking to legislators or their staff is an incredibly empowering experience and one that absolutely influences the outcomes of legislation. This event is critical to ICSC’s advocacy efforts because it puts our members face to face with those in Congress. There is nothing more powerful than our members telling decisionmakers how legislation and regulation impact their businesses.”

Supporting organized retail crime legislation, opposing efforts to increase taxes, and encouraging sensible environmental measures are key ICSC issues before the 118th Congress and will be the focus of this year’s Fly-In.
