Want to help formally recognize the young leaders driving the industry’s future? The organization is now accepting nominations for the 2020 ICSC 4 Under 40 Awards. The deadline for nominations is March 11.
Watch here as 2019 4 Under 40 honoree Carren Ballenger Coston, director of real estate at Shake Shack Enterprises, talks about what the award — and awardees — mean for the retail real estate industry.
Now in their fifth year, the 4 Under 40 Awards recognize the brightest and most talented in the retail real estate industry, not only for their professional accomplishments but also for their outstanding reputations and contributions to the industry through ICSC volunteering, mentoring and other ways of giving back.
Last year’s honorees were Carren Coston, director of real estate at Shake Shack Enterprises; Daniel Katz, founder and managing partner of KPR; Whitney Livingston, COO of projects at Centennial Real Estate; and Joseph Tichar, president and COO of Raider Hill Advisors.
ICSC will announce the 2020 honorees at RECon in Las Vegas, and the honorees will discuss their experiences onstage, providing insight into how the next generation of leaders can make a difference. ICSC also will feature them online on Exchange and in an issue of SCT.
Each nominee must be under the age of 40 as of Dec. 31, 2020; be actively employed in the retail real estate industry in leasing, asset management, development, retail or consulting; be nominated by someone other than themselves; and be an ICSC member.
Judges will evaluate nominees based on:
