Google has filed a lawsuit against unidentified individuals in India and Vietnam for leveraging the allure of artificial intelligence tools to pilfer social media credentials from small business owners. The scammers produce fake ads that target small businesses and offer Google AI chatbot Bard for download. Clicking on one of the ads installs malware that steals social media account information. The lawsuit aims to thwart the scam and understand its workings, highlighting the broader issue of malware attacks plaguing small businesses.
