Volunteer Appointments

The ICSC Nomination Process

Every year, a Nominating Committee is assembled in each of the five North American Divisions to usher in a new group of Volunteer Leaders. While the nomination process is open, ICSC works with Divisional Leadership to recognize, nominate and vote to confirm candidates. The nominations process begins in November of each year and concludes in March.

Appointments are for a one-year term effective each May at RECon. Each Volunteer Leader holds the position for no more than three (3) consecutive years. Any ICSC member may nominate another member for consideration. In order to be confirmed for a Volunteer position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • All candidates must be ICSC members in good standing, have the full support of their organization and have the time and interest to commit to the position;
  • All candidates must have previously served in a volunteer capacity within ICSC;
  • All candidates must work in the State/Province in which the Volunteer Leadership role will serve; and
  • All candidates must be able to attend all State/Provincial and Division Committee meetings and the Volunteer Leadership training.
