This Asian-products supermarket chain, the largest of its type in the U.S., is celebrating 35 years in business, operates 50 stores across six states and has plans to expand. East West Bank

Allbirds
Shoe brand Allbirds will open a store in the upscale Georgetown district of Washington, D.C., in a former Ben & Jerry’s store. The company already operates in New York City and San Francisco. UrbanTurf

Amazing Lash Studio
This eyelash-extension and beauty-brand franchise is set to open its first Michigan unit in October, at Knapp’s Corner, next to the Ulta Beauty store. And two more units are to open in the western part of the state soon. WZZM

Amazon 4-Star
The online behemoth will open a 4,830-square-foot store stocking a selection of its most popular items in part of the former Sears anchor store at Oakbrook (Ill.) Center. Daily Herald

Athleta
This Gap Inc.–owned athleisure apparel brand will open its first outlet store sometime over the next few months. Coresight Research

H&M
The Swedish fast-fashion chain will start selling other apparel brands in its H&M stores. This would allow the chain to   attract more shoppers and to compete more effectively against multibrand rivals. Reuters

Trader Joe’s
The first Trader Joe's in Little Rock, Ark., is set to open in October. Arkansas is currently the most populous state without any of this chain's supermarkets, according to Trader Joe's. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
