ICSC CEO Tom McGee writes about retail and real estate reinvention in Forbes

​2020 promises to be a year of reinvention for retail and real estate as they respond to changing consumer tastes.

Consumer confidence is soaring, and retail centers are bringing in service-oriented and experiential tenants to help turn that optimism into profits. ICSC President and CEO Tom McGee talks about these trends in his latest blog post for Forbes. 

“The fact is that 90 percent of all retail sales still take place in a physical store," said McGee. "However, consumers are becoming more and more omni-engaged, and retailers will need to be prepared to meet the new demands. Those that are able to provide the most convenience are likely to see the greatest reward.”
